Traveled down a road unseen
And met a man all dressed in green,
But here’s the thing with some men,
Though he had dollars, he lacked sense.
He tried to tie me down,
So I cut my binds and left that town, yeah.
So I changed direction ahead,
Met a sexy guy all dressed in red.
Thought he might’ve been the best,
But he saw me as nice legs and ripe chest,
So he hit on someone new
And I hit the road waiting on fate’s cue, yeah.
So true colours shine through his great disguise.
Well I guess I’m just not one for those multicoloured guys.
Took a turn I didn’t think would
Lead me to a man in pink.
Thought that this one, I could stand.
Then I caught him with another man.
So, as he came out, so did I,
To a new town and a fresh new guy, yeah.
Saw a nice town in my view
Where lived a nice guy, dressed in blue.
Thought he’d never leave me behind,
But I guess his heart was not so kind.
So I stopped handing out my love for free
‘Cause this one nearly broke me, yeah.
So true colours shine through his great disguise.
Well I guess I’m just not one for those multicoloured guys.
So true colours shine through his great disguise.
Well I guess I’m just not one for those multicoloured guys.
Ooh x 2
Traveled down a lonely road
And met a man that I adored.
Here I thought I’d seen them all,
But this one wasn’t quite so colourful
And I sensed something underneath,
A pretty shade of love for me.
Ooh yeah x 2
